Suit Yourself Magazine was born out of pure need. The need for an independent magazine, a voice for all those young at heart, those interested in music, fashion, theatre, art, adventure, gigs, clubs, cinema, their environment and everything in between. |
Detailed Description:
Cultural diversity and integration is the name of the game and we make it our mission to bring you musings on everything from local festivals to recycling, skate parks to poetry, local markets to theatre and from restaurants to graffiti art across Bristol. No cultural stone is left unturned, dedicated as we are to letting you know exactly what is going on in this fabulous city.
Suit Yourself Magazine is a free, quarterly publication that has been going strong for over four years and can be found in every shop, café, pub, club, restaurant, hairdresser, gallery and venue all over Bristol. We strive to generate a magazine which actually talks to you rather than reports at you and all whilst remaining smart, funny, informative and relevant.
Along side Suit Yourself Magazine, we also run our sister publication SY On The Sly – a monthly, online magazine that shares exactly the same ideals but is chock-a-block with previews and reviews of all the amazing events constantly going on in Bristol. There’s no better place to catch up on every thing you missed of Bristol’s best gigs, art, clubs, stage and cinema from a month gone by and at the same time get excited about everything that’s coming up, along with a smattering of Suit Yourself Magazine’s much loved articles and long time favourites like Auntie Harper and Mystic Ginger’s horoscopes.
Most importantly of all, WE LOVE BRISTOL! When you are an independent voice in this city, the possibilities are endless. We are unequivocally upfront and honest in our reflection of what is going on, voicing the thoughts and opinions of people who live and breathe Bristol because that’s who we all are. We are proud to be independent, rather than faceless corporate suits holed-up in an office with our hands tied and where everything has a second agenda. But before we get all communist on your arse and start chanting; “by the people, for the people,” all we will say is that Suit Yourself Magazine has been described as ‘A True Voice For Bristol’.
