Description: A quality glossy monthly news and features magazine |
Detailed Description: Launched in 2005, Dronfield Eye is the only publication to be delivered to all homes and businesses in the S18 district, between Sheffield to the north and Chesterfield to the south.
The bright, colourful publication is packed with local news and pictures and relevant features on the local area and its people.
Because Dronfield Eye includes such interesting editorial content, people pick it up, read it and pass it on to friends and relatives who live outside the area. This results in an excellent response for advertisers, many of whom have appeared in the publication every month since the very first issue.
Dronfield Eye plays an important role in the local community, being far more than a magazine which drops through people's letter-boxes each month. It plays an important part in local campaigns, raises funds for worthy causes and positively promotes the Dronfield area and its people to a wide readership.
The magazine played an important role in the success of the recent Dronfield Station campaign which has won the best-ever railway service for the town. It also supported the 2008 Dronfield Festival of Leisure and each spring it organises a show for young and talented performers which this year raised £1,000 for the Town Mayor's Appeal.
Dronfield Eye is delivered free of charge throughout the S18 district and beyond.
The magazine has two sister publications, Active8, which is delivered in the south of Sheffield, and Wings which is circulated to 5,000 homes in Wingerworth and Ashover. They have a combined free distribution of 35,500 copies.
